我们的研究关注这样几个问题：把低收入服务工作者的居住空间从中心城区彻底清除是否必要和合理？居住人口区域的阶层式化分是否反而会导致城市边缘更多更差的城中村出现？既然中心城区的服务业需要这些工作者，那么有没有可能把他们留在城中？

我们以建筑概念的方式提出专门为这一群体所构想的居住策略，即 一种新的高层建筑类型：社会主义新工房。在构想中，这些社会主义新工房将以服务半径定位的方式分布在市中心原有的城中村基地内，并借助政府的土地开发和物业管理政策来实现自给自足。 这一策略以社会主义制度的优越性为基础，并将这一弱势群体的劳动力以建筑形式表达出来，以反边缘化的姿态重新分配城市的版图。

Our research considers the following questions: Is it harmful to the city itself to wipe all the low-income populations out of downtown? Will the classification of residential districts cause more urban villages along the urban fringe with more dangers towards slums? Since service worker is a group that downtown does need, is there a way to keep them inside?

We propose here a specific residential strategy for this population – New Socialist Worker Apartment (NSWA). In our strategic scenario, these NSWA sit within the demolished urban village sites with logic of the service radius of its residence. The land is offered by the socialist government policy for free and the building can run as a self-sufficient model. NSWA is based on the advantage of socialism system. It uses architectural form to present the labor force of this low-income population and re-maps the city through its pose of anti-marginalization.

祝晓峰,山水秀建筑事务所设计总监。2004年在上海创办事务所，之前在纽约KPF建筑师事务所任副总监。李念中, 清华苑建筑设计公司董事总经理，副总建筑师，国家一级注册建筑师。1997-2000年任深圳大学建筑设计研究院常务副院长.

Zhu Xiaofeng is a design principal of Scenic Architecture Office. Before establishing Scenic Architecture in Shanghai in 2004, Mr. Zhu was associate principal at Kohn Pedersen Fox New York office. Li Nianzhong is the deputy chief architect of Tsinghua-Yuan Architectural Design Ltd. Mr. Li was deputy president of Shenzhen University Institute of Architectural Design & Research from 1997 to 2000.
