《浮生自语》物质戏剧即将上演
本届双年展的参展作品之一：胖鸟剧团和荷兰王国SILO THEATER联合制作的物质戏剧《浮生自语》，将于2007年12月28日、29日晚6：00-10：00连续2天在双年展C6展场前草坪（华侨城医院附近） ，免费为市民演出。
关于“物质戏剧”
1000多年以前，有一个禅宗师傅手里拿着一个盛满了水的杯子，问他的徒弟们：“这里装的是什么？”。那些回答是水的徒弟遭到了他的喝斥，那些回答是佛性的徒弟遭到了他的嘲笑。而有一个徒弟没说什么，只是拿起杯子喝下了里面的水。而他获得了禅的真谛。
1000多年以后我们发现似乎除了物质，这个世界里不再存在别的东西。于是我们造出了“物质戏剧”这个汉语名词。顾名思义，世界即便是人类自诩的创造性的产物，也是物质自己在游戏。换句话说，物质的游戏是我们今天人人身处的这个世界的隐喻，也是对这个世界的评价。
About “Object Theatre”
Over 1,000 years ago, a Zen Master presented a cup full of water to his students, asking, “What’s inside?” The Master rejected all answers, mocking his students. However, one student didn’t say anything, instead drinking the water. This was the correct answer.
1,000 years later, we’ve discovered that there is nothing but the material world. Object Theatre both grows out of and responds to how we now see the world. Thus, even if this world is a product of human creativity, it is also created through the play of the objects, objects which have their own independent lives. In other words, as objects play, they provide both a metaphor for and a commentary on the world in which we find ourselves.
