At the 2013 UABB Biennale brainstorming (29th June,2012),both Shenzhen and Hong Kong two sides agreed on the usage of the same title “Urbanism\Architecture Bi-City Biennale(UABB)” in the future，and the Statement of UABB was defined as the previous news:

2013 Academic committee proposed a general direction for the theme of 2013 —“URBAN BORDER” and the chief curator candidates are invited to develop their unique 2013 biennale theme based on this general idea.Please see below:
NARRATION ON “URBAN BORDER”
The pluralistic value is the precondition of URBAN BORDER.
Both development of cities around the world and speedy urbanization embodied kind of ‘main stream’ trend and similarity; however, the diversity, difference and individuality are ignored, even hidden. So the ‘BORDER’ includes some explanation as below: in the context of sociology, it implies margin of urban space, brink groups, and non-mainstream life style; in the context of political science, it implies the organizing and distributing urban public resource; in the context of city geography, it also refers to the UGB( Urban Growth Boundary), area in-between, and the relationship between city and nature.
2013 UABB would theme the URBAN BORDER, revealing the possibilities of urban culture, urban space, urban life style and related issues.
