Building vital new neighborhoods, do require several places and areas where the creative class, but also small businesses are able to work and live and more importantly: where they can stay.

I am convinced that creativity and a small informal economy is crucial for neigbourhoods, cities and countries in order to flourish and stay flexible, dynamic and innovative.

With my work at UABB I am proposing areas in the city that will give room to the creative class. Create areas in new to be build neigbourhoods with lower rents and flexible spaces with public spaces with low regulation.

Vitalizing existing uniform neighborhoods can in my eyes be realized by offering clusters of apartments and areas to become affordable spaces for creativity, experiment, cooking, gardening and social interaction. Private space, apartment-spaces will be opened up and become public- and semi-public space. In addition an outdoor grid in front of these spaces can be created in order to make the creativity and the activities visible.

My work at UABB will consist of a closed structure pierced by a space which will function as a place for creativity, experiment and expression. On the outside, a grid will be build for on-going presentations.

I want the space to be used by students, painters and other creative workers to make and show work within the exhibition.
