深港城市\建筑双城双年展(香港)/ 中国香港

The exhibition is about the shared origin and interface between Hong Kong and Shenzhen.

The 2017 Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture (Hong Kong) (UABBHK 2017), organised by The Hong Kong Institute of Architects Biennale Foundation (HKIABF) in association with The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA), Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP) and Hong Kong Designers Association (HKDA), will open from 12 December 2017 until 11 February 2018 at various urban locations and cultural hubs with MTR as the connecting spine. Curated by a highly committed team led by Dr. Chan Lai Kiu, this year's Biennale is titled "City Smarts: Density 2.0". With the aim to re-think and re-invent the issue of extreme density of Hong Kong, the exhibition delves into the wisdom of the city's smart citizens, professionals and practitioners in the fields of design, city planning and architecture, which are collectively named as "City Smarts," for new perspectives and insights. Beside the core exhibitions, there will be diversified programs and community events held prior to and during the exhibition period - including performances, film screenings, and guided tours in collaboration with schools, NGOs, and community groups. All of the proposed programs and events aim at reaching out to the general public, and especially to the youth, to benefit and educate students and young professionals of Hong Kong on architecture, urban planning, film, art, design and related fields.
